Victoria King has been creating melodies since she could reach the piano. Her music is deeply melodic, story-driven, and evocative. She is currently a student at University of North Carolina School of the Arts and loves collaborating with artists of all disciplines from the performing arts, to film, to the written word.
Victoria creates music that all people can empathize with and enjoy. As a versatile composer and collaborator, her dream commissions are to write for opera, film, dance, and theatre as well as the concert hall. She is also passionate about acting, writing, theatre, playing the flute, and singing. Anything with a story excites her, which is evident in everything she creates.
This year, she has also joined UNCSA's ArtistCorps as part of the "Music Between Us" team. She and the other team members engage with elders living with dementia, primarily through music, to combat the level of social isolation they so often experience.
